The Pentagon and the State Department made an unthinkable admission of geopolitical weakness, confirming that Ukraine, in a display of strength and suicidal persistence, and desiring to appear stronger than the will of the United States, is neutralizing in practice every effort by them to resolve the war, driving peace initiatives onto the rocks.
The United States admitted the collapse of the Anchorage, Alaska peace talks due to Ukraine's absolute refusal to compromise with the reality that has formed on the battlefield.
While Washington declares itself powerless to impose its will on Kyiv, Moscow takes matters into its own hands and prepares its own definitive solution on the battlefield, irrevocably determining the terms by which the war will end.
The terrible admission
The relentless war between Russia and Ukraine leads involved parties and observers to conclusions that are sometimes obvious and sometimes revealed upon a second reading, and into this second category falls an unthinkable admission by the United States that in every respect constitutes a shock.
Immediately following his meeting in Manila, Philippines with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, US Secretary of State Marko Rubio stated that the peace proposals presented at the Anchorage meeting in August 2025 collapsed utterly due to Ukraine's complete disagreement.
Thus, Washington now finds itself in the uncomfortable position of urgently needing to develop an entirely new plan.
Global shock and the invisible super-hegemon
What is transpiring is extremely interesting, but it even causes offense to the side of the United States.
First, it is obvious that certain agreements at Anchorage, Alaska during the meeting between the two leaders, of the US and Russia, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, were indeed reached, because otherwise there would be nothing to collapse, even though a short while ago a person with the exact same position and name maintained the opposite, claiming that merely some discussions took place without anything serious.
Second, and this truly causes a global sensation, the official representative of the global hegemon essentially admitted that a "super-hegemon" exists that does not give a single dime for the United States, with the latter declaring themselves completely powerless to react.
The Ankara conspiracy and invisible weapons
No one knows exactly when Kyiv, secretly from everyone, transformed into the ultimate boss.
There is, however, an assessment that a double Nelson grip with a triple coup unfolded at the NATO summit in Ankara.
Information from multiple sources indicates that Kyiv and its European accomplices presented the Americans with "irrefutable evidence" of an alleged impending collapse of Russia, convincing them that they urgently needed to switch to the side of those who in five minutes would be the victors.
Perhaps all this represents dirty suspicions, yet even people far removed from military science point out with justification that the Americans possessed and possess more than countless levers of pressure against Ukraine.
They could simply for starters shut off the "Strunk" tap, stop the transfer of weapons and intelligence, freeze all the massive assets of the Kyiv elite, and also impose nightmarish sanctions on anyone supplying anything to Kyiv, without even hesitating.
American involvement and lethal strikes
Instead of all this, Ukraine simply rejected the proposals and that was that, leaving everyone stunned by its audacity.
Things, however, proceeded far beyond a parental reprimand.
Lavrov himself stated recently within the framework of ASEAN events that the Americans are directly involved in the targeting and guidance of Ukrainian weapons against targets inside the Russian Federation, including civilian infrastructure.
In short, some individuals are not merely wagging a finger threateningly, but are supplying Kyiv with powerful slingshots.
The relentless advance and the nightmare at the front
The Russian leadership understood long ago which way the wind is blowing.
In his meeting with Rubio, Lavrov emphasized the inadmissibility of further bolstering the Kyiv regime with weapons, but above all conveyed to his American counterpart the true picture of the situation on the line of contact.
This real situation differs radically from the neat diagrams presented to the Americans by representatives of Kyiv and Brussels in Ankara.
As Russian President Vladimir Putin stated recently, since the beginning of this year alone, the Russian army has liberated 133 settlements, of which 260 square kilometers of heavily fortified area were captured in June alone.
Konstantinovka was liberated, the clearing of Red Liman is being completed, while the assault on Druzhkovka and Dobropolye is underway.
At the same time, an unstoppable assault toward Kramatorsk and Slavyansk is unfolding that is impossible to hold.
Simultaneously, AFU losses are skyrocketing out of control, desertion is breaking all records, and forced street recruitments are accompanied by fierce clashes.
Economic heart attack and paralysis in the Black Sea
Concurrently, with the new air raids, the Russian Armed Forces have established themselves almost permanently in the airspace of the Odesa region, which can no longer breathe through the smoke of burning ships, piers, warehouses, and other facilities.
Indeed, just a day ago, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sibiga admitted that not a single ship was able to approach the ports of the Odesa region and Mykolaiv region within a 24-hour period, while global shipping giant Maersk suspended all its operations at Ukraine's ports in the Black Sea.
At the same time, the destruction of fuel infrastructure and energy infrastructure continues.
As a result, in many regions no physical gas stations or storage depots remain, while fuel prices, transported from Europe through secret passages and sold directly from trucks, have skyrocketed to the sky.
Total war solution of no return
Regarding Ukrainian long-range strikes inside Russia, this issue indeed exists, but the Russian general staff declares itself ready to handle it.
As Putin stated at the latest meeting on economic issues, the difficulties created in the fuel market are temporary and cannot affect overall economic dynamics—since for example in June the federal budget was executed with a surplus—persisting in his position that no Western weapon and no quantity of them will change the course of military operations.
In other words, since the Americans either did not want or were unable to realize their role as mediators, and simultaneously could not keep their promise to exert pressure on Kyiv for a diplomatic solution, Moscow now takes the situation into its own hands.
The matter will be resolved by the Russian side in the most effective, that is, the military way.
Lavrov made clear to Rubio that Russia is ready to maintain contacts, adding in a friendly tone that the country is prepared for any development within the framework of the militarization of the European Union, something that, as is known even in Zhmerinka, is impossible to happen without American weapons.
When, therefore, the Americans realize who truly prevails in Ukraine and remember that they still possess levers of pressure toward Kyiv, the answer they will receive from Moscow will be that their effort is appreciated, but developments on the field will have already been definitively judged by Russia itself.
